Does Your Clothes Really Matters In Court Procession

Among the most dramatic places in the non fictional world is a court room. Life is strange and almost anybody has a probability to end up in a witness box for one reason or another. You don’t actually have to be a murder convict, nor do you have to be a witness of some brutal crime. The case can be as simple as a dog bite case or a minor car accident. Even after having the best Elizabeth auto accident attorney and the best Middlesex County dog bite attorney, you have to be be prepared to be in the court of law.
Fictional as it is, a court room is also a place of great honor. It is a place where laws are respected, followed and imposed. A place where people are all equall and justice is unbiased. That is why most people are concerned most about going to courtroom dressed properly. It is obvious that casting an impression is very important in legal hearings and what else is more important than your attire. Yet, one thing is undeniable, you cannot wear a everyday day outfit nor the most formal dress to a court room.
• The secret to dress in a courtroom is to make it a little conservative. Conservative attire shows respect for the location and authorities. You can also keep it close to something that you would wear to church.
• displaying too much skin and wearing bright colors leaves a negative impression on the authorities and might destroy your credibility during the hearing. White, black, navy and neutral earthy tones are the recommened way to camouflage with other attorneys and lawyers.
• Skirts are more appropriate than wearing jeans or tight-fitted pants. One fact behind this suggestion is that most judges might be a little old and conservative themselves and might not regard pants to be a part of noble women’s attire.
• Aside from the style, neatness is another important factor. Stains and dirt on your attire is like a stamp which reads ‘guilty already’ rather than ‘pity me’. Not only your clothes, your face, hair, hands and nails must be tidy and properly maintained.
• Shoes are also a noticeable part of the complete attire. Never wear very high and strappy heeled shoes. Pumps are rather graceful and classy for this purpose. Also prevent wearing casual shoes like as flip flops, beach sandals and sneakers.
• About the accessories, there is one rule to be followed, less is more. If you have body piercings, tattoos and are wear a lot of bangles and bands, de-accessorize yourself before going to the courtroom. Cover tattoos with clothes and take the extra rings off your body.
• Keep things same for make up. Try to avoid any make up at all, but if this is hard for you, keep it minimal. No bright shades on lips, nails or eyes. Keep neutral fleshy tones used in a very simple way. Perfumes and deodorants are good to use as long as they are not over used.
